Prince of Persia: The sands of time

An orphan named Dastan is picked up by the King of Persia from a market after he watches him perform a act of bravery. Impressed by his bravery, the king picks him up, takes him to the palace and adopts him, and this is how he becomes Prince Dastan. 15 years later, Dastan along with his two foster brothers and his uncle attack the sacred city of Alamut which is believed to be selling weapons to the Persian enemies. Princess of Alamut, Princess Tamina, a very beautiful woman (according to the description, even though she isn't that great looking) instructs one of the guards to take the dagger to safety, but Prince Dastan defeats the guard and gets the dagger.
The story goes on to be pretty interesting.
Its a good watch.

The setup to depict Persian times in the movie has been impeccable. The costumes, the cities, all seem too good.

The Karate Kid

Jaden Smith surely is Will Smith Junior ! He proves it in this movie. His hairstyle and appearance seems adorable. The story of a black kid moving to Beijing from Detroit with his mom. A totally new, different ambiance compared to what he is used to. Bullying in school makes him just hate the place. Gets beat up often and just manages to make a friend in school.
Then finally earns respect by learning Kung Fu, well, not just learning but mastering it. All credits to an excellent teacher Jachie Chan.
The best part of the movie is with his jacket, take off your jacket, put it on the ground, pick it up, hang it....... And also "Dre, PICK UP UR JACKET" from his mom.

The movie is good.

I love you Phillip Morris

Man this is some deep gay shit. No one but Jim Carrey could do it better. His face seems to have a quality that makes him look seriously gay. A lot of scenes where he makes love to other guys. So, if you haven't seen a gay porno, this might be a shocker.

Jim Carrey realizes that he is gay until after he gets married to some girl. He makes a lot of excuses with his wife to satisfy his gay fantasies. He always wishes for a lavish lifestyle with a true gay love, and he doesn't care how he earns the bucks.

Financial fraud, insurance fraud, you name it he does it. And finally, he meets his love in jail. He does a lot of things to be with him, makes him happy, escapes from jails, etc etc.. Its one hell of a story except for its gayness.

When in Rome

Beth, a woman who loves her job more than any man, lands in Rome for her sister's wedding. She picks up coins from the reputed fountain of love. Immediately after she reaches NW, she is pursued by the people whose coins she took. All of them are under a spell and deeply in love with her.

But at the wedding, she meets a guy whom she really falls for and so does she. But she is not able to make out the difference between his love and that of others who are under a spell.

Later, a turn of events happen and........ well, watch the movie. Its a gud one. Kristen Bell looks really pretty in a few outfits.

Wild things foursome

All guys are sure to like this one, a lot of Bikini babes. The story of a rich guy's son who, along with three hotties, murders his father and makes it look like an accident. All this to get hands on his riches. Since there are three others who had helped him, he has to share it with them.

Later a problem, his dad's will, which restricts his access to his dad's cash until he is 30. They do a lot of wierd things to extract his dad's money and finally manages a descent amount.

There is absolutely no one who doesn't like money. Blinded by greed, all of them try to kill each other. Finally, everything ends up with someone you least expect.

Its a good one. I am sure all the guys will just love it. BTW, hot chics with guns is a serious turn on. :P

The Backup Plan

Zoe (jennifer Lopez) gets herself inseminated as she is not able to find the right guy. Out of the urge to start a family, she takes this extreme step. Coincidentally, on the same day, she meets a guy. A few days go by, they are still seeing each other ans she hasn't told him yet that she is pregnant. Finally, she decides to tell him.

The story goes on and on till she has the babies and they get married after that. Its a slow movie, best for a slow afternoon watch. Because if it get too boring, you can happily doze off. No wonder it has such low IMDB rating. Watch at your own risk !!

The Bounty Hunter

If you like Jennifer Aniston, then you probably will like the movie, although her acting isnt really that good. Its a serious comedy, well thats the best way to describe it. After watching it I didn't really feel that that was an hour and three quarters I am never geting back. The movie is romantic in a weird way.

Bad cops, a fired good cop and his ex-wife (reporter (Aniston) ) is what the story is all about. She bails on her hearing, he is hired to catch her and bring her in but then he realizes that she is onto something big. So he helps her catch the crooks but still bring her in. Best of all, both of them celebrate their anniversary behind bars, and of course, get back together to make it a happy ending.

From Paris With Love

If you like John Travolta, then I am sure you will like this one. The Bald look is much better. Secret agent US posted in Paris does smaller jobs of espionage, betroaths a French girl and is happy with his job until he meets his partner, work partner that is. He realizes that what he wanted was not what he got.

They enter into some serious terrorist busting business for US. Destroy an entire terrorist cell and avert a major attack on the US embassy in Paris. The action scenes are shot too well, me favourate part being the RPG (Rocket Propelled Granade) that he uses to kill a terrorist on the run. Some of the scenes are quiet disturbing, escpecially a cold blooded shot right into the head of an unarmed girl while they have dinner.

Its a good one time watch, its got some real action.

Cairo Time

A slow movie about an American woman who comes to Cairo to meet her husband, who works for UN at Gaza. The ongoing Gaza war delays his arrival to Cairo and so she has to wait until he can come back. But she finds a local person, a friend of her husband in Cairo to kill time with. He takes her to different places in Cairo, a boat ride in the nile, and lots of other places.

They both develop a certain affection to each other, as he is extremely descent and gentlemanly. At the end, she finally meets her husband at her hotel and visit the pyramids. Its a very slow movie. If you are desperate for watching a movie then this might make your desperation aggressive. Its a good for a lazy afternoon watch.

Damage

The story of a prisoner convicted of murder who is released on parole. Steve Austin plays the prisoner, acting is not the best. He finds out later that he was granted parole upon the recommendation of the wife of the person for who's murder he was convicted for. But, there is string attached to this favour. She wants him to bear the expenses of her daughter's heart transplant, a 150 grands. Neither her noe him have that kind of money so he takes to underground fighting.

He fights for good and not out of rage as the other fighters do and turns out to be a damn good one. Certain things happen, a single good deed in saving a life, he gets the money that he needs to save the little girl's life. The funny character being the probation officer. Although some of the fighting scenes might be a little bit disturbing, the movie is pretty good otherwise. Its a one time watch.

Transformer: Revenge of the fallen

Of course the 1st one is better than this one, but this one has better special effects. The sinking aircraft carrier is the best part. Such a huge thing sinking looks just marvelous. More robots, make it even more better. A bit of hypocrisy and the way they get rid of it is just ridiculous but funny at the same time.
A robot monitoring a satellite communication by attaching itself to the satellite seems a little unrealistic. But if you like the first one then this is a must watch.

The Transformers

Wow !! The best description is just this one word. Mind-blowing special effects. Seems so futuristic. Big huge robots fighting with each other is so awesome to see. Also, the part where they transform is also just great. It must have taken a great mind to come up with something like this.
These are not just some machines, but machines with emotions, machines with goals to accomplish. Combine these robots with military machines and it geta even better. The movie is a must watch.

The invention of lying

The concept is something entirely different in a good sense. Even though the story is a bit slow, the entire concept makes it a bit interesting to watch. Acting seems to be pretty alright. There are a few flaws here and there in the concept but its a brave attempt.

A world where lies do not exist, no one lies about anything, people speak only the truth. Truth truth and truth, to an extent that it gets ugly at times. People speak up what they really think and never lie for any purpose, let it be for being nice to someone, or for wooing someone. Then comes the 1st lie in the world by a man. He finds that by lying, he can do whatever he want, get whatever he want, and so he does. People believe whatever he tells them. He uses this to his advantage and it is like his superpower. Just 1 person lying in this whole world. Eventually he becomes more and more successful in life. The story ends in him marrying the girl that he likes.

Its a good watch, but one time only.

The Box

An interesting story but it has been shown in a dull way. Of course Diaz looks very good in the movie, her acting has been very good. Some might say that the dull manner in which it has been showcased is profound in its own way. For quiet sometime into the movie, you cannot figure out as to what is going, but slowly everything unveils. There are some questions unanswered by the movie that makes it a bit intriguing.

A box is delivered to Arther Lewis's residence at an odd hour. They open the box to find a strange looking item in it. A man visits their residence, only Norma Lewis happens to be at home. He tells her that there is a button on the item which if pressed will result in the death of somebody in the world that they don't know. If they press it within 24 hrs, then they receive a million dollars, else the item is taken back and the deal is off. They decide to press the button and the same man delivers a million dollars to them as per the deal. Now the events become obscure, a lot of strange things happen to them. But towards the end, all these events explain themselves and all starts to make some sense.

Its a good one time watch. You might get bored because the story is a bit slow and things are shown in an old fashioned way..

Weather Girl

A nice movie, goes a bit slow after a bold beginning. The end is somewhat interesting too. Acting has been pretty descent. Its really something that you should wath if you are looking for something exciting. Mostly unknown stars but they seem to have pulled off something pretty descent.

A weather reporter quits her job in a really bold manner because one of her colleagues whom she had been seeing for the past 2 years dumps her for another girl. She ends up staying at her brother place where she meets one of his friends. Her career is screwed up, she is a single woman in her mid-30s and she does not have a boyfriend. She tries numerous times to get another job but her hunt ends up in zilch. She is forced to be a waitress. Her brother's friend and she become friends and at some point, things start to heat up between them. Eventually, she gets her job back and gives up her newly found mate for it, only to realize that she has been sold out and he matters more to her than anything else. Again, she quits in the same bold manner as before and undoes her mistake. This description may seem a bit too ordinary but there is a lot more in the movie. Its a one time watch only. The only exciting part of the movie is what I call the "Quitting in a bold manner".

Someone like you.

There is no intensity in the movie. It doesn't give you the feel that a movie should. There seems to be nothing special or exciting that happens in the story. A dull story overall and gets a bit boring after the first hour. The acting isn't that good either.

A woman gets a committed man in her cross-hairs. Liking her better, that man dumps his girlfriend whom, he has been seeing for 3 years. This breakup happens to be too hard on him so he dumps her as well. Heartbroken, this girl formulates a theory about men by comparing them to cows. Her article becomes a big hit as it gets published in a popular magazine. She uses a pen name to write the article so as to have total anonymity. Later, her experience in life shows her that her theory is total B.S. At last she finds the love of her life as expected. The story is very predictable.

Watch this movie only if you dont have another option. You might like this movie if you are into romantic movies.

My one and only

Boring Boring Boring !!! A very slow movie, so slow that it made those one and three quarter hours feel like one and three quarter days. For most of the time, it feels like there cannot be an end to this story, but a ray of hope suddenly appears which sort of points to a probable ending, but this ray turns out to be an illusion and fades away the very next instant. On many occasions during the course of the movie, it makes you wonder as to where the story is going. A happy ending seems very obvious and predictable.

Its a plot from the 1950s. A woman leaves her unfaithful husband in search of a man who is loyal to her, who cares for her, who really loves her. She has two sons, both born to different fathers, the younger son being born to her present husband. They travel from city to city where she dates many guys, mostly rich, who offer to marry her. But for some reason or the other, she is forced to leave them. Her hunt goes on and on. Finally her younger son gets frustrated and decides to let her go and take his own way, but eventually, he goes back to her.

All this drama only ends in her realizing that she does not need a husband. The younger son gets an acting career and the older one also figures out wha the wants. The family of 3 remains united (her husband dies).

My suggestion, don't watch this movie. Its a very very very slow story and might kill you a little bit from the inside.

Observe and report

My God what the hell was that. The story goes nowhere, and it is aweful enough to get anyone disgusted. How can somebody even think of such a story? Its worse than a 3rd degree torture, I would rather be a prisoner at Guantanamo Bay for those one and a half hours.

The whole story is about a mall security officer who wants to be a cop some day. But his application gets rejected as he fails to pass the psycho-analysis. His mom is an alcoholic. His lone achievement in the movie is that he catches a naked guy who has been troubling the people at the mall since quiet a few days by running around naked. The movie ends on the same note and he feels that this is the biggest achievement of his life. And out of nowhere, a girl falls for him. All the fighting scenes are like the ones in Bollywood movies, one guy against several pricks, even this that has been horribly shown (infact Bollywood movies have better fighting scenes).

In short, its a horrible movie. If you watch the movie even after reading this, well I have no words for you. Its better to watch Mugle Azam again rather than this one.

Jersey Girl

Just 10 minutes into the movie and already a lot has happened. A small girl "Gertie", whose mom dies right after giving birth, has only her dad to take care of her. The dad who is in a trauma of his wife's death, finds it very hard to raise her and be a good dad. He loses his job and is forced to move in with his father. His father take care of his daughter for a few days but after realizing that his son is being ignorant about his daughter, he forces his son to take care of his daughter. He is forced to take a job of a handyman picking up trash. He keeps trying more interviews but nothing goes his way. He takes good care of his daughter. Finally something his way, he gets a job in the New York city and plans to move there with his daughter. But the daughter is too attached to the grandpa to leave him. A big fight and finally she agrees to move with wit his dad. But emotional attachments withing the family makes them to stay together. He also finds a new girl for himself.

Also, some wierd incidents with the girl and a friend of hers shows their innocence. The little girl is the best character in the movie, her acting is adorable. The movie is just a one time watch, as it might make you cry in the 1st 10 minutes. But the rest of the story is pretty light. If you like slow movies, then you might like this one.
