"Oops 'I' fell in love!".... Thats a novel that I just read :)

First of all, I would have put up a pic of the book, but to my surprise, I couldn't find a single one on the internet. Oops, found one..

Its a story about guy named "Kanav" from Indore, an IITian (IITD to be specific) and his love story. The author (Harsh Snehanshu) himself being a student (hostelite) of IITD, has described the activities of guys in hostels in a very direct manner. I hope that none of the parents read this book because its a bit too revealing about boys hostel activities in a certain manner. It also gives a good idea as to what guys, especially those doing their undergrads, think about/of (whatever you like) the fairer sex. Its starts to get more and more interesting as you keep reading it but at some point, you might feel that it is getting bit cloying due to intense emotions which are vividly described. But there is one way this book might help guys, it helps understand how the people from venus think. The story is kind of predictable (but not exactly). The ending does not seem to be very satisfactory, the reason might be that I am used to the happy endings of BOLLYWOOD MOVIES where the couple live happily ever after.
If you like Indian authour love stories, then this one is a must read...

A movie that is good in an indescribable way !!

"World's Greatest Dad"
IMDB categorizes this as a Comedy/Drama. Well, its only a drama. The movie just goes to show how selfish people are on the outside. The dad uses his son's death as an opportunity to achieve is dream, that is, to get his literary work published. The kid dies trying to spice up things in his bedroom. To save all the embarrassment, the dad makes it look like a suicide. Although the book is published in school, but not in his name, he still is satisfied as it is his work, which he claims to be his son's personal diary. It becomes so popular among the kids of that school that the headmaster decides to name the school library after the kid's name. Soon, publishers approach him. The guilt of his wrongdoing constantly haunts the dad, its a matter of time that he give in and get it off their shoulders.
Even though these statements are revealing enough and most of the stars aren't very well known, the movie is still worth a watch.

What the hell ??

Is 3-Idiots the only movie around ?? All the theaters from Sudama and Alankar to Inox and Cinemax are showing this one movie. Man if you want tickets to this movie, tell me what time, 6:00 am, too soon is it?? maybe 6:15 am or maybe 7:00 am or 7:15 am. Are you a late riser? then you might like the 9:00 am show, or maybe 9:15. Are you kidding me? if you think thats the time you (are suppose to) goto college (and you make it like on time 0 times a week), then maybe you will like the 9:45 am or maybe the 10:00 am show. Aa aa.. too soon after getting used to rising up late in the winter holidays, plus its winter too, so how about 10:15 am or 10:30 am show?? What are you thinking of?? just tell me what time?? you like 11:15 am, 12:45 pm, 2:40 pm, 3:30 pm, 4:15 pm, 6:45 pm, 7:30 pm or the night show at 9:00 pm...
Seriously what the hell is this?? is there no movie other than the "3 Idiots"?? Look at any cinema hall, it says "3-Idiots". Come on, the movie isn't that great that I get sick of this name and there is no other movie in the theaters that I can goto. Apparently, it racked up 65 crores in the 1st three days. So what am I suppose to do?? Seriously, it sucks, the movie sucks, the theaters in Nagpur suck.....

A really good movie..

I wonder... why is it that when I pay more for a movie ticket, it turns out to be good for nothing, just as for "Ugly aur Pagli" and "Quantum of Solace". But this time, we (Devashish, Balu, Khandu, Godhane and me) bought reserved class tickets (these seats were just a few rows behind the Gandhi class, the front rows that is) that too in a theatre that seemed to built in the 1800's. It so happened that the movie turned out to be worth more than 30 bucks this time, a real good one. Looking at its over hyped reviews online, I had my doubts, infact Balu and I were making fun of it before the movie.

Except for a few instances in the whole movie, the story seemed to be flawless. It surely deserves to be the movie of the year. Although the songs were not that great, the direction was extraordinary....

All are Back !!

It was one awesome morning, even though I woke up a bit early (which I hate to), it felt very good when I saw CJ and Balu back from Mumbai. Godhane had come yesterday so I had had a chat with him. Seeing all my pals, I was delighted, so while having lunch in the canteen after college registration, I kept on blurting things out of exictment to a point that they all got kind of bugged. It was fun though. They all are expecting a treat from me because I have been placed in TCS, but I am still thinking about it. In the past few days it seemed like there was something missing, but I no longer feel so.

Bad luck, thats what it is...

Well, Not a very good day to start blogging, the reason being that I was suppose to goto the INDIA vs SRI LANKA ODI at the new VCA today. But, the one and only, Devashish lost the tickets on the way back home. It felt very bad when I heard that the tickets were lost, and so did Khandu, couldn't look at his face, he was really pissed off. So, instead of doing nothing, I decided to watch the match on TV. My frustration was increasing with every boundary the Indians were scoring. Patil reminded me a few times that I could have been siting in the Stadium, but there was nothing I could do. The Indians did not have a good start, lost Sehwag and Gambhir early. But they ended up scoring 301. Devashish showed up later in the afternoon, I wasn't really angry at him, as such screw-ups can happen to anyone. We (Khandu, Hrishikesh, Devashish and me) went on a long drive, had some samosas, and then went to Telankhedi lake (Damn the place was full of couples), it was fun. O by the way the match is still on, SRI LANKA has scored 162 in 25.5 overs at the loss of 2, seens like they are going to win.
